31 Miles in August is a free virtual fundraising challenge for Mental Health UK. Complete 31 miles throughout August by walking, running, wheeling or moving in a way that works for you, while raising funds to support people affected by mental health challenges.
Do I have to raise £100?
When you register, we'll help you set a fundraising target of £100. Reaching £100 will earn you an exclusive 31 Miles in August medal, and every pound you raise helps Mental Health UK support more people affected by mental health challenges.
Don't worry if you're unable to reach £100 – every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference and we're grateful for every pound raised.
How do I complete the challenge?
You can complete your 31 miles however you like. Walk, run, wheel, hike, treadmill miles, or mix it up throughout the month.
Are there fundraising rewards?

How much does it cost to take part?
Nothing! Registration is completely free.
What if I raise more than £100
Many participants choose to keep fundraising after reaching their medal. Additional fundraising rewards are available at £150, £200 and £300+, and every extra pound raised helps Mental Health UK support even more people.
Do I have to complete all 31 miles at once?
No. Most participants spread their miles across August. You can complete your miles in whatever way works best for you.
How do I claim my rewards?
Once you've reached a fundraising milestone, simply email events@mentalhealth-uk.org to claim your reward.
